What I did in April (and end of March)





APRIL (and end of March) - Easter Holidays -



Germany: by bus London (Victoria)-> Dover 


some views of the cliffs, a ferry across the channel
Beer & hot chocolate with amaretto + drawing and games (mostly battleship)

(same bus) -> Calais -> Brussels -> Gent -> Cologne [Koln]

Slept alot on the bus, in Brussels the day after the terrorist attacks so was a weird atmosphere, felt nice to go through The Netherlands again and see signs to Maastricht (my old hometown).

In Cologne - Coffee and looked at the big cathedral (?) / big church thing

Train to Leverkusen


 -> Leverkusen -> Erfurt -> Bad Blankenburg 

Shopping / lunch in Leverkusen and bus to Erfurt
Car from Erfurt to Bad Blankenburg
Big dinner in Bad Blankenburg and too much wine
Improved my German

-> Leipzig 

Car to Leipzig 
Coffee & Icecream and walks around the town
Drinks, fancy Thai dinner, more drinks
Nice hotel
Amazing breakfast
More walks around town and coffee

A very long train journey on a sleeper train, but without a bed.

Coffee with Lauren at Burr & Co George St.
My sister's birthday (made a cake), and we went for dinner at David Bann (vegetarian restaurant)
Tiger (shop) - got stuff for my room and knitting wool
doing up bedroom (will make separate post on this)
tourist Edinburgh - princes st gardens, the castle, peter's yard - soup, grassmarket, valvonna & crolla

Brunch on Hanover St - blueberry pancakes, some Italian flat bread thing, coffee / tea / passionfruit san pelligrino (can't remember the name of it, but it was underneath Papii) - would highly recommend, lovely staff!
